The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. Its mops spin at high speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a variety of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.
For instance, you can decide to let the robot clean up the living and kitchen areas but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. The only issue it has is that it tends to hit objects and walls at full speed - but just a glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
The docking station features an LCD display that indicates the time when maintenance is required, such as emptying debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank with a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being able to operate for 184 minutes in Quiet mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to look at every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop, is the most recent version. It's not like the model from last year, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that allows it to remove smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.
This Roborock model, like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating two cameras that can recognize objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons that include the power button that also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button that can bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto-refills.
The only negative I discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mounts, which could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these through the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. However, you'll have to go through a few hurdles to enable voice control on this model, which is a shame considering the quality of its performance.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with innovative features, superior suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its intelligent design allows for customised and efficient cleaning while reducing time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful choices available. This powerful vacuum can clean up dry mess, including pet hair and crumbs. It comes with a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without using a pad. In addition, the X40 is quiet in operation, only producing occasional bursts of sound when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.
The X40 also comes with an additional side brush that can be extended and lifted. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture with curved edges such as table and chair legs. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is intuitive and easy to use, and the X40's smart features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, change modes, look at maps and floor plans, and manage mopping setting. The X40 can also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. However, it has many characteristics that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It makes use of two mops with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is more than that of the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can clean pet hair and small dirt particles - in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is a fantastic feature because it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. It's a system that we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a great way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There's a wealth of options available which include the ability to schedule cleaning and alter a variety of preferences. The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, sporting metallic and white design that looks classy and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing but it's not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. The mopping system is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
